McDONALD'S IN ST. FRANCISVILLE

I took Natalie home...well almost home Monday afternoon (10.06.08). I met her Mommy and Daddy in St. Francisville. So it was almost home, but I didn't have to drive into Baton Rouge...that was nice for me.

Before we went into McDonald's Brittany gave Natalie her mail (her "happies" from Mimi). Natalie has a confused look. This was something that I ordered from someone I found through ebay. It is hair holder that looks like a ballet tutu. I had them seller send it to her rather than me first (to save shipping...rather then me pay again to mail it from here).

A better expression...
This completed the series of 6 Disney Princess books that I sent her over several days. She loves her books.

Now time to play...

Brittany took most of these while I ate. She posed for her in this one!

Another priceless expression...

We had a great visit. I am tired and still have much to do, but I wanted to post these before Natalie next trip (this weekend). I have rushed through this post. So if I have left out something that I really wanted to included, I will just add it later.

A LITTLE GIFT FROM MIMI FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND

POSING FOR MIMI WITH THE UN-OPENED GIFT
AND AGAIN ONCE IT WAS OPENED...

Here she is trying to open the factory packaging that is often so difficult (even for adults with scissors in their hands).

I have been "snail" mailing little gifts for Natalie since she has moved to B.R.

Most of the items are just thoughtful sweet little things--HAPPIES as one friend called it. While shopping for "happies" I found these Lego blocks. I saved them for her first visit here since the move.

Randy and I picked Natalie up from her other grandparents Saturday evening after we dropped Cari off for the football jamboree in Vidalia. We took her to McDonald's to the playland. Since her nonna said that she had already ate good supper with them, she got a chocolate sundae while we ate our supper. I really wished we had more activities for little ones around here. I get tired of taking her to the same places (the park and McDonald's playland), but that's all we really have around here. I didn't take any photos. I forgot to get the camera out of the car with all the craziness (all the extra traffic and fears of Gustav) that was in the air that evening. Oh well, I have photographed her there more than once and I am sure I will again in the future.

I have more to post. What a week this has been!

FUN AT McDONALD'S PLAYLAND

CARI AND NATALIE AT McDONALD'S PLAYLAND
In less than a week my little sweetheart will be moving to B.R. with her parents just as she should. It makes me sad knowing that our time together will soon have to be quality time rather and quantity with lots of quality. All summer we have tried to make the most of our summer and do lots of fun things...you know...make lots of happy memories.
So when Natalie woke up from her nap, we headed to local McDonald's playland. But by the time we maded there, it was about time for one of us to leave to pick up Cari from church. So Randy left while I stayed and photographed Natalie.
Here she is having fun and running wild...

This cute little girl wanted to be photographed too. It's so funny. My kids (including Natalie) get tired of being photographed, but other people's children are begging to be photographed. Normally I would take a lot of the unknown children and just delete them later (since I dont' know them). But this time I purposely took only a small memory card (to avoid overshooting...Did you know I am a member of "Overshooters Anonymous"?) so that I would save hard drive space and only take a few. So I must admit when this little girl popped up every time I picked up my camera, I was frustrated. But I finally took a few of her too so that I could get some of Natalie. I didn't have much of choice since Natalie kept following her around.

There they both are again...

When she left, she played with this other group of 3 children. It was so cute. The older child (maybe about 6-8 yrs old) lead them all in a game of Simon Says. So Sweet!

When Cari and Randy were on their way back, I went to order food. Natalie spotted this with some other boys putting change in. So as soon as I finished my transaction, Natalie had her turn with my change.

watching the money go down...

Her expression of delight once it went down...

The coloring was a little off because I forgot to turn the flash back on and it was the last image on the card. So no more chances...so how about a black & white?
I am going to miss doing lot of little things like this during the week. I hope we make up for it with lots of fun weekends with Natalie.

McDonald's Play Land--September 8, 2007

OUR SATURDAY EVENING AT MCDONALD'S!

Poppa acting silly with Natalie.
Here Natalie is in the "scary" section. I did not want her to go up those steps. I knew she could get there. The problem would be getting down. But she was egged on by her Poppa and others who were watching. They said "let her go...just she see how far she can go". I was sooooo right.
So guess who had to go up there and get her down!
These slides she can handle just fine!
What an adventure we had! ---Natalie's MiMi
