NATALIE AT CARLIE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!

ABOVE: NATALIE AND CARLIE

(The image that inspired the title.)

okay...I did this long post about Natalie at Carlie's Party with a very intersting title, MUSTARD IN YOUR TEA? If you don't blog, I will tell you now..."it is a lot of trouble to re-do this to the appropriate blog"...if there is an easy way and someone knows it, please share. So to read this post, use the link that I provided (the title).

Carlie has appeared many different time:
(each of these titles are links to some fun times with Carlie)

I am sure I have other photos from holidays like Christmas, but as you may know...I am not too good as posting Christmas images because I am looney before, during and after Christmas...by the time I re-cover...it's time to move on to Valentines or Easter!

Sorry for the goof up! But, hey! That's me!

A QUICK TRIP TO GIGI'S HOUSE

I missed this image in the post and realised it as I was viewing this before "publish the post". When Danny and Maria were leaving I remembered to the get the camera out. I didn't get any of Jackie and Denise. They left the night before. And my camera was still in the bag. I am trying to get better about taking photos of the little things like short visits with family.

"ARE WE THERE YET?"

That's what Natalie kept saying about 30 minutes after we left. Eventually we taught her the "I Spy" game to entertain her.

Saturday evening, September 7th, we left here for a visit with family and funeral in Bastrop. It happened to be that some of the other the family was at Mom's too for the weekend. Randy's mom's friend had passed away the day before. Randy had already scheduled his crew to work for Saturday...that had much to do with ginning season just around the corner. So we didn't leave until he finished his day. Since Natalie was still here from the storm, she got to go along for the ride too. Of course, my family was more glad to see her than us. We'll you know what I mean!

So these days I am tryng to remember more to document little things like this. Right after we got there Sat. night Natalie handed books for GiGi to read to her. This was photographed then, but I wanted to remember that moment so I asked them to get a book.

Natalie with Brooke and Aunt Cari.

I didn't actually get a great photo of us looking at the same time. Me looking, but not Natalie.
Laughing at each other...
I saw this for the great opportunity it was...

Now I am smiling good and Natalie's wants to kiss. I really like this one. Not what I was going for, but it will always be very special to me.

After we photos, we soon left for our trip home with a promise to stop in Delhi for ice cream sundaes!
We had a great visit with family. I hate that Mr. Cecil passed away and that's Randy's mom is dealing with this loss, but I am glad that we got to see our family and that they got to see Natalie and her see them again. They all love her so much too!

SATURDAY, 06.21.08: FUN OUTSIDE AT GIGI'S HOUSE!

Aunt Maria and Uncle Danny bought some fun little outside toys for the little ones (actually just Dalton and Natalie since they are our only little ones at this time). I don't know who I was visiting with at the time, but I didn't get my camera out in time and only got a few images of Natalie playing with these bubbles. I do remember after she spilled some of hers, she wanted to play with Dalton's. He didn't let her. So next they got back on the trampoline. Earlier in the day I watched them on the trampoline. It takes constant supervison for that since Dalton is bigger than Natalie he could easily bounce her off (an almost did a time or two).
Here's one of Natalie in mid-air!

Natalie giving Uncle Danny a great big kiss and hug. What sweet little girl!

There she is looking at Dalton again. Little ones love watching and imitating the older child (more on that in my images from the next day). Isn't it just an adorable shot?

DALTON:
Here's a sweet one of the adorable little guy in our lives. We all love him so much!
A sweet one of both, Natalie and Dalton, looking sweet as can be.
Natalie and her Aunt Maria. Aunt Maria loves her so much too!
I have a few more images and few posts to cover from yesterday (the day after these images) that I will try to post later today. But that's it for now.

EASTER WEEKEND AT GIGI (NATALIE'S GREAT-GRANDMOTHER'S)

THE STORY BEHIND THESE IMAGES COMING SOON...
EDITED: TO INCLUDE THE INFORMATION THAT GOES ALONG WITH THESE IMAGES (3.29.08) ONE WEEK AFTER THIS DAY (agian better late than never, uh?) Okay, here I am few days later making time for this. No, I am still not caught up, but I have already had a portrait session this morning and before I get started working on a birth annoucement and birthday invitation, I want to complete this post and maybe the other two that I started.
The above images is Dalton (or Daltin as Natalie says it...she loves her cousin, Dalton. It's so sweet.) and Natalie getting ready to outside to find the Easter Eggs that Aunt Cari and her cousin, Brooke, hit for them. We did the Saturday afternoon after we arrived at my mom's. This wasn't Dalton's weekend with his daddy (my brother), but his mommy let him spend some time over at my mom's so that he could find eggs with his cousin, Natalie.
BELOW IMAGE: one of Natalie's first eggs to find...it was very frustrating trying to photograph Natalie and Dalton find eggs with the harsh backlighting and those LEGS (LOL). Almost every image had someone's or several someones legs in the background. Dalton's little fake smile and pose with the egg he just found (and of course, more legs). "Dirty, dirty", that's what Natalie was saying here. She really doesn't like getting dirty and wants to clean up as soon as she does especially if it is something like leaves in your shoes that feels funny...I love it!
Aunt Cari helping with Papaw (my dad looking on)
Posing with their recently found eggs
Another image of Natalie complaining about being dirty, dirty...She had bubbles "juice" on her from playing bubbles earlier with her Aunt Maria. This is her using a paper towel to clean up.
Dalton posing with his Easter gift from Aunt Jami (and the rest of my family). I love that little boy. He is my only nephew (on my side of the family).
Natalie posing with our "goofy" looking Easter Bunny cake. I had plans of wanting to make this for Natalie for Easter, but I forgot about it until that day when we were on our way to my mom's (the day after prom). I was a little sleep deprived from the events of the day before so I am not too organized any more about planning things like this in advance. So while we were buying some last minute items at Wal-mart in Winnsboro to take to Mom's, I remembered the cake idea. I made this when I was in high school for my baby brother (aka Dalton's dad), then I made it again when my kids were little and then I remembered the idea last Easter, but I wanted to wait until this year when Natalie was a little older too. I think I was also think life wouldn't be quite as hectic and that I would have more time (I was very wrong about that). I am glad I did it. Natalie wanted to help when I showed her what I was doing, but I think she mostly just wanted to eat the icing. She had little white spots of icing all over her new top...oh, well. We had fun. I forgot the bow of the bunny was suppose to be a different color...I think I used to do it a green color...when I remembered it I added the pink on top to give it another color. I couldn't remember what I used for each item to decorate the bunny's face...I knew I needed some licorice for his whiskers that I could not find. So I just go the malted eggs for everything. Natalie saw the speckling of the malted eggs (that are made to look like bird eggs) and she said the bunny had booger in his nose. She made everyone watching laugh outloud very loudly. It was quite funny!

Finally it was time for coloring Easter Eggs as we had discussed with Natalie for a few days. Don't you love that look of concentration? Poppa helping Natalie.
She was so proud of her colored eggs!
Mimi helping with Eden and Chloe looking on. Eden and Chloe are Natalie's "almost" cousins. Their mommy is marrying Uncle Quincy (aka Dalton's daddy...Mimi's baby brother).
Natalie and her Gigi (great-great grandmother...my mom) and their GiGi egg and nice big cheezy smile from Natalie

Chloe and her mom, Darlene Natalie and Mimi with the "Mimi" egg

Eden and her mommy, Darlene
All three girls after we finished coloring the eggs. As you can see, Natalie isn't too modest. She got some dye-water on her tee shirt (that she was wearing over her good clothes) wet so she too it off. This is a little habit she has developed especially at breakfast. If she spills ceral milk on her top (usually p.j. top), she takes it off. OftenI look over there (toward her hight chair) after I have been working here on the computer as usual and notice she has taken her shirt off. And now I know, she had a wet shirt and she took it off. I guess she thinks it is much better to wear no shirt than a wet shirt.
Okay, that's if for last Saturday. Please forgive any typos. I don't really have time to proof read this right now. I need to get a quick shower. Cari want to go to the boys baseball game. Randy and I are picking up Natalie to take her to the little Circus that has come to Vidalia this weekend. Before we go to the circus we are going to wal-mart to pick up some flowers for Randy and Natalie to plan one day next week.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND: SEPTEMBER 2005

Natalie meets her great-great grandmother (my grandmother) who is now 86 years old. Natalie was 5 weeks old in the photograph. Grandma's vision is considered legally blind, she does have limited vision and loved meeting her great-great granddaugher.

This is my daddy with Natalie. He loved meeting his first great grandchild. He has always loved babies. He calls them all "Papaw's Baby".

This is Poppa's mom (Randy's mom, Opal). She came from Bastrop to meet her great granddaughter. I feel bad that I don't have photographs, but Randy's dad Leon came earlier and I forgot to get the camera out.

This is my FIVE GENERATION PORTRAIT that I will treasure forever. I love pretty goofy in this one. I think I looked betther in the others, but I think Natlie and Grandma looked better in this one. Since they are the oldest and youngest, I think they count the most. I love my family!

I think (it has been 2 years ago) all the other images were taken on that Sunday afternoon, but this was taken Saturday afternoon. This is Natalie and Conner Sullivan, my cousin's baby boy. My Aunt Norene and Uncle Jerry came to my mom's. There newest family member and his family were also in for the weekend too. This is Todd's youngest of three boys (I assume they gave up on the girl!). Todd is my Aunt's youngest child and Conner is her youngest grandchild, at least he was at the time of this photo. My Aunt Norene and Uncle Jerry have four children and they all have 3 or more children. So I can't keep up with it...not like our family at all. I think Conner was about 1 week or so younger than Natalie.

It was a nice Labor Day weekend sharing our beautiful Natalie with our extended family. She had already met her G.G. at the hospital when she was born. She would love to see her more often and this was our first visit at G.G.'s.

I wished we had more time for visits. I just visited again for Labor Day weekend, but Natalie didn't get to come this weekend. I missed her being there. She had to be with her mommy and daddy. It had almost been 2 weeks since she had seen him. I know it was driving him crazy. I think Brittany is working on a post from their weekend. I am looking forward to seeing it too. ---Natalie's MiMi
